HAR BRACHA

This lovely religious community village was established in 1983 by a group of families from established villages in the Shomron. Created on the 35th birthday of the State of Israel, Har Bracha has grown to 145 families who are committed to developing and maintaining a strong Jewish presence in the Nablus area, rich in Jewish history

The natural beauty surrounding the community overlooks the Aviezer River on the west and the lands of the tribe of Ephraim to the east and the community itself is perched on the hilltop recognized as an early town of the Shomronim – Tirat Nareh. During the Byzantine Era, the town was an integrated village of Shomronim and Jews

Har Bracha is one gem in a necklace of Jewish communities; Elon Moreh, Bareket, Yitzhar, Itamar and Kedumim. Convenient to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv with a driving distance of under an hour, Har Bracha is just 35 minutes from Kfar Saba and 20 minutes from Ariel

On one end of the educational spectrum, there are day care center and kindergarten facilities in the community while, on the other, there is a hesder yeshiva. Elementary school children learn 10 minutes away in Elon Moreh and there are a large variety of junior high and high schools to choose from within easy commuting distance

One might say that Har Bracha is a paradise for young children with a special fitness facility for babies and very small, intimate groups for the 80 babies in the day care center. The 90 kindergarteners also enjoy small groups. The afternoon activities include art, English, sports of all kinds and a large variety of music groups

The library is especially active in Har Bracha with books and videos available three times a week

Rabbi Eliezer Melamed and Rabbanit Inbal Melamed give regular classes in Tanach, Gemara and Daf Yomi. In addition to the central synagogue, there is a synagogue in the hesder yeshiva

The large supermarket and a medical clinic open five days a week make life in Har Bracha quite comfortable
