ADAM

Adam, a primarily secular community village located just 5 minutes from Pisgat Zev, Jerusalem's northernmost neighborhood, has diversified in recent years to include many young, religious families. Many are attracted to Adam because of its convenient location with 800 families presently making their home in this lovely community. Named after Ramatkal Tat Aluf Yekutiel Adam, z"l, who fell in Lebanon in 1982, Adam boasts quality day care centers, five kindergartens, one of which is a government religious framework, and an elementary school through the third grade with another grade added annually. Extracurricular activitiesfor children include martial arts, dance, art, basketball andothers according to expressed interest. There are two grocery stores in the community as well as a wonderful bakery and several small restaurants. Both synagogues are sepharadi minyans and there is a community mikve. Other facilities include a medical clinic and library. Directions: From Pisgat Zev take the Ramallah bypass road to Hizme and turn left. Continue straight until arriving at a traffic circle.
